Spring Harbor Animal Hospital in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as either an Associate Veterinarian or Chief of Staff. Whether you're looking to continue practicing high-quality medicine as an associate, step into leadership immediately, or grow into a leadership role over time, we offer the flexibility and support to help you achieve your career goals.
 
For doctors seeking additional variety, there is also an optional opportunity to split time between Spring Harbor Animal Hospital and nearby Middleton Veterinary Hospital. Prefer to practice exclusively at one location? That's an option too.

Leadership Opportunity

Doctors interested in leadership will have access to our leadership training program and will partner closely with our highly experienced Hospital Manager, a CVT with more than 12 years of leadership experience.
 
Practice Highlights

  • Certified Feline Friendly Practice (Silver Status) with plans to pursue Gold status
  • Experienced and highly skilled technician team, including multiple CVTs

  • Approximately 12-15 appointments per doctor per day
  • Appointment lengths designed to support quality medicine:
    • Wellness appointments: 30 minutes
    • Sick appointments: 40 minutes
    • Puppy appointments: 40 minutes
    • Rechecks: 20-30 minutes
Facility & Equipment
 
Our hospital includes four exam rooms, a dedicated treatment area, surgical suite, dental/prep room, and separate dog, cat, and recovery wards. We continue to invest in our hospital, with extensive remodeling completed in 2021 and additional improvements planned.

  • Hand-held ultrasound
  • Surgical laser
  • Therapeutic laser
  • Dental equipment
We are currently a 60% canine and 40% feline practice and pride ourselves on providing individualized, compassionate care to every patient.
Fun fact: Our hospital features architectural inspiration influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, reflecting the character and history that make Madison such a special place to call home!

We're seeking a veterinarian who values collaboration, client relationships, high-quality medicine, and a compassionate, low-stress approach to patient care. Interest in surgery and dentistry is preferred, but not required.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to become part of a supportive, close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together while making a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
