Hillside Animal Hospital in La Crosse, WI, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated new grad or experienced veterinarian to join our team! As an 100% small animal, AAHA-accredited hospital with a long-standing reputation in the community, we have been honored to receive multiple "Best of La Crosse County" awards in the veterinary clinic category!
Our stand-alone hospital, nestled against a scenic bluff, features four exam rooms, a surgical suite, digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, electrocautery, and in-house Idexx analyzers. A 2024 renovation updated our exam rooms, lobby, flooring, and cabinetry.
We prioritize work-life balance, with flexible scheduling, rotating Saturdays and minimal on-call duties (one night every three weeks, 3-4 weekends per year). Our doctors see 13-16 patients per day with 30-40 minute appointments. Our team is highly collaborative and energetic, with a strong focus on patient care and client service. We also know how to have fun together, with activities such as baking competitions, potlucks, Secret Santa, March Madness contests, and even a highway cleanup challenge for the most unique item found!
We welcome new graduates and provide a structured mentorship program to help them succeed. Our program includes shadowing, 1-on-1 surgical training, extended appointment times, and weekly case review meetings with the COS and associate veterinarians for the first two years. New graduates will have 24/7 access to senior DVMs for guidance during on-call shifts, ensuring they feel supported as they grow in their careers.
