Chalet Veterinary Clinic is a multi-doctor, companion animal hospital located in Stoughton, WI. For over 30 years, we’ve proudly provided high-quality medical, dental, and surgical services to dogs and cats. We are seeking a full-time (or part-time) Associate Veterinarian to join our supportive, collaborative team.

About Our Hospital

We focus on comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care for canine and feline patients. Our modern facility includes:

  • Dedicated radiology room

  • Large surgical suite

  • Digital radiography with SignalPet AI interpretation (optional radiologist consultation)

  • IDEXX Catalyst, ProCyte, and Sedivue analyzers

  • Zoetis Imagyst

  • Ultrasound

  • New electrocautery unit

  • New anesthesia & patient monitoring equipment

  • Complete in-house lab

We provide routine soft tissue and dental surgeries and handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis. Complex cases are referred to our trusted local ER clinic or specialty facilities.

Surgery & Appointment Flow

This role will be predominantly surgery, with strong skills and confidence in basic GP surgery and dentistry required. For new grads, mentorship in more complex surgeries is available from our Chief of Staff Advisor.

  • Surgery caseload: 2–4 surgeries per day (spays, neuters, mass removals, dentals; orthopedic procedures referred out).

  • Appointments: 30-minute slots; about 15 per full appointment day or 5–7 on partial surgery days.

  • Surgery schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (flexible based on doctor preference).

  • Schedule includes: 12:00–1:30 p.m. lunch break and catch-up period. Doctors typically work 3–4 days per week.

  • No weekend shifts required: We are open the first three Saturdays of each month, but incoming doctors are not scheduled for these shifts. 

  • No on-call or after-hours responsibilities.

Our Support Team

  • 3 Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs)

  • 2 Veterinary Technicians

  • 3 Veterinary Assistants

  • Each doctor is supported by a dedicated technician, with an additional float available as needed. At times, two technicians may be assigned to a single doctor to ensure optimal support.

  • Our staff tenure ranges from 2 to 25 years
